About the Role
A leading mining group is seeking a skilled Reporting Accountant to oversee group financial reporting, statutory compliance, and operational cost analysis across the business. This role is integral to ensuring the delivery of accurate, timely, and audit-ready financial information to executive leadership and the board.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare monthly management accounts, reporting packs, and financial statements.
- Analyse financial results against budgets and forecasts, providing clear variance commentary and insights.
- Ensure executive and board reporting schedules are delivered accurately and within deadlines.
- Maintain supporting reconciliations and schedules to ensure the integrity and accuracy of all financial reporting.
- Prepare and draft annual financial statements from trial balance through to audit-ready submission using CaseWare.
- Liaise with external auditors and resolve audit-related queries efficiently.
- Ensure financial statements are complete, accurate, and fully compliant with reporting standards.
Requirements
- Strong focus on drafting financial statements using CaseWare.
- Experience in group consolidations and reporting.
- Tax compliance and SARS submissions experience.
Qualifications
- BCom Accounting / BAcc / BCompt or equivalent SAICA / SAIPA articles (advantageous).
