About the Role
We are seeking a reliable and experienced Code 10 driver to join our team, responsible for transporting goods and materials across Johannesburg while ensuring timely deliveries and maintaining high standards of customer service.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate a Code 10 vehicle in a safe and responsible manner at all times
- Ensure timely collection and delivery of goods to various destinations
- Load and offload materials, ensuring items are handled with care
- Conduct daily vehicle inspections and report any faults or maintenance needs
- Maintain accurate delivery records, logbooks, and proof of deliveries (PODs)
- Ensure compliance with road safety regulations and company policies
- Plan routes effectively to optimize delivery schedules
- Provide excellent customer service when interacting with clients
- Ensure vehicle cleanliness and roadworthiness at all times
Requirements
- Grade 12
- Valid Code 10 drivers license
- Valid PDP (Professional Driving Permit)
- Minimum 35 years driving experience in a similar role
- Good knowledge of local routes and traffic regulations
- Ability to read and write (for completion of delivery documentation)
