About the Role
We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Specialist to lead our automotive foam plant’s maintenance team in Durban, KZN. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring seamless production and uptime targets while driving equipment upgrades and improvements.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise the maintenance team to meet production and uptime targets
- Plan, execute, and analyse preventative and breakdown maintenance
- Diagnose faults and drive equipment upgrades and improvements
- Manage critical spares, maintenance schedules, and reports
- Oversee PLC systems, backups, and engineering projects
- Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and maintenance standards
- Support continuous improvement and people development
Requirements
- Trade tested Millwright / Fitter / Electrician
- Minimum 5 years maintenance experience (automotive manufacturing preferred)
- Proven supervisory experience
- PLC exposure and project management experience
- Willingness to work overtime when required
- Automotive industry experience MUST
