About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Food and Beverage Manager to join our team at Safari Lodge Bela-Bela, a 4/5-star boutique operation in a Big 5 Reserve environment. The ideal candidate will have excellent wine knowledge, menu costing expertise, and a deep understanding of food trends. As a key member of our hospitality team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service in a luxury environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the Food and Beverage department to ensure high standards of quality and service.
- Develop and implement menu plans, including cost control and inventory management.
- Maintain excellent knowledge of wine and spirits, with the ability to make informed recommendations to customers.
- Supervise staff, providing guidance and support to ensure exceptional customer service.
- Plan and budget for departmental administration, including stock procedures and control.
- Administer departmental operations, ensuring efficient planning and execution.
Requirements
- Matric/Grade 12
- Minimum 3-5 years Food & Beverage supervisory experience in a 4/5-star boutique operation or Big 5 Reserve within a similar Lodge environment
- Excellent Wine Knowledge
- Depth knowledge of Menu Costing, COS etc.
- Excellent knowledge of Food trends
- Expert knowledge and understanding of stock procedures and control
- Knowledge of planning, budgeting and departmental administration
Salary & Benefits
Negotiable per month (depending on experience)
