About the Role
The purpose of the Senior IT Project Manager role is to ensure the efficient and effective management and delivery of multiple, cross-functional, global and large-scale IT projects, from inception to completion, that provide demonstrable value in line with business and IT strategy and enterprise architecture.
Key Responsibilities
- Initiate, plan, design, execute, monitor, control and close all assigned IT projects.
- Deliver these within the agreed parameters of project scope, cost, timescales and quality.
- Work with executive stakeholders to deliver on strategic, board or PAC projects.
- Ensure that all assigned projects are aligned to the IT strategy and enterprise architecture and project management methodology.
- Clearly define the project purpose, objectives and expected deliverables.
- Establish, define and develop project scope, priorities, cost estimates, resourcing requirements, work plans, time schedules and communication plans required to deliver on agreed objectives and deliverables.
Requirements
- Degree or Diploma in Information Technology, Information Systems, Computer Science or equivalent (essential).
- Relevant post graduate qualification (beneficial).
- Formal Project Management certification from an accredited Project Management body (e.g. PMP, AMP, Prince2, MSP) (essential).
- 5 years’ experience in a senior project management role with demonstrable experience implementing business critical projects across multiple integration points, functions and business units while working with global implementation projects and large delivery teams (essential).
- Experience with multi-method project delivery and methodology (essential).
- Exposure to SAFe (desired).
