Lead Commercial Excellence Across Luxury Safari Operations
An exceptional opportunity exists for an experienced and commercially astute hospitality leader to join a prestigious luxury safari and travel operation in East Africa.
We are seeking a Director of Revenue & Reservations to lead and integrate reservations, revenue management, yield optimisation, and destination management booking functions across a portfolio of premium safari lodges, camps, and experiential travel products.
This is a strategic and operational leadership role responsible for delivering commercial performance, reservation excellence, systems optimisation, operational coordination, and an exceptional end-to-end guest booking experience.
The successful individual will lead multi-location teams and serve as a key executive partner in aligning commercial strategy, guest experience, operational execution, and long-term business growth.

You will oversee integrated functions spanning reservations, yield management, DMC bookings, safari logistics, reporting, and operational delivery.
Key Responsibilities
Revenue & Yield Leadership
- Drive revenue growth strategies across multiple luxury camps, lodges and safari products.
- Lead pricing optimisation, occupancy planning, inventory control and demand forecasting.
- Monitor booking pace, seasonality and competitor positioning.
- Maximise commercial performance across ADR, RevPAR, occupancy and profitability targets.
- Manage allocation controls, availability strategies and booking optimisation.
Reservations & Commercial Operations
- Lead end-to-end reservations operations and guest booking management.
- Ensure exceptional standards across enquiries, confirmations, amendments and guest communication.
- Build scalable reservation processes and operational SOPs.
- Maintain service consistency and booking accuracy across all channels.
Safari Operations & DMC Coordination
- Oversee logistics bookings including transfers, flights, accommodation movements and itinerary execution.
- Ensure seamless handover between commercial and operational teams.
- Strengthen alignment between reservations and field operations.
Systems, Technology & Process Innovation
- Champion modernisation across reservation platforms, PMS environments, CRM tools and reporting systems.
- Drive automation, workflow optimisation and operational efficiency initiatives.
- Improve data integrity, dashboard reporting and decision-making visibility.
- Identify opportunities to introduce practical AI-enabled improvements.
Leadership & Team Development
- Lead and develop multi-functional teams across multiple locations.
- Build a culture of accountability, collaboration and continuous improvement.
- Coach managers and support succession planning initiatives.
- Foster strong relationships across Sales, Finance, Operations and Guest Experience teams.
Executive Reporting & Strategic Insights
- Deliver executive reporting on:
- Revenue performance
- Occupancy trends
- Forecasting accuracy
- Conversion metrics
- Productivity and operational efficiency
- Translate insights into actionable business recommendations.

Minimum Requirements
Qualifications
- Degree or Diploma in Hospitality Management, Tourism, Commerce, Business Management or related field.
Experience
- Minimum 10 years experience within:
- Luxury hospitality
- Safari operations
- High-end travel environments
- Destination management operations
- Minimum 5 years in a senior leadership capacity.
Technical Capability
- Strong revenue and yield management expertise.
- Advanced reservations and booking systems experience.
- Commercial and financial acumen.
- Data-driven decision-making capability.
- Strong operational planning and systems leadership.
