Position overview:
As the Scheduler / Technician Scheduling Specialist, you will play a key role in coordinating technician deployments and daily schedules to ensure efficient service delivery and customer satisfaction.
The ideal candidate should have excellent organizational skills, strong attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements:

  • Grade 12 / High School Diploma
  • Valid Driver’s License
  • Previous experience in scheduling, dispatching, or coordination roles
  • Strong organizational and administrative skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to multitask and work under pressure
  • Computer literate and proficient with scheduling systems/software
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and adaptability

Advantageous

  • Experience within the telematics, fleet management, tracking, or technical services industry
  • Understanding of technician job requirements and field operations

Responsibilities:

  • Schedule and coordinate technicians’ daily jobs based on location, availability, skill set, and service requirements.
  • Coordinate with dispatchers and technicians regarding job details, changes, and special instructions.
  • Manage incoming service requests and prioritize tasks according to urgency and service level agreements.
  • Optimize routes and scheduling to reduce travel time, fuel usage, and operational costs.
  • Maintain clear communication with technicians, clients, and internal departments.
  • Update and maintain accurate scheduling records, job statuses, and completion reports.
  • Handle scheduling conflicts, emergencies, and last-minute changes efficiently.
  • Monitor service delivery timelines and customer satisfaction.
  • Generate reports on technician productivity, service completion, and operational KPIs.
  • Identify opportunities to improve scheduling processes and operational efficiency.
