Durban: Home Meal Replacement (HMR) Specialist

Job Description

Key duties will include, but are not limited to: Plan sales calls to ensure a value-added approach. Learn and apply client classifications. Plan on building market share across all categories. Drive and achieve volumes/budget across all company categories. Conduct demos and other ad hoc activities as required. Build on and research product and industry knowledge. Work on promotional activity as per guidelines required. Build client relationships and ensure service effectiveness. Analyse competitor activity and market trends and feedback on market intelligence. Submit weekly sales and ADAPT reports by the required deadline. Proactively look for new business and market opportunities. Manage sales administration and other duties as required. Deliveries carried out to company standard where appropriate. C-Track in line with company standards. Ensure stock levels are monitored. Key Requirements: Qualification in BSc Food Technology / Food Sciences or equivalent with 1-2 years’ sales experience in the FMCG industry. Recipe development or food manufacturing experience preferred. The idea candidate should have a passion for cooking and basic cooking abilities for demos and presentations to clients/customers. A valid driver’s license and a willingness to travel are required. Additional Requirements: Planning and organising ability. Formal presentation ability and business acumen. Customer service orientation, quality focus and drive. Time management and good communication skills. *Only candidates that meet all the requirements should apply.
