About the Role

The Junior Buyer role is an entry-level position that plays a crucial part in ensuring the smooth operation of our procurement processes. As a Junior Buyer, you will be responsible for managing purchase orders, tracking suppliers, and maintaining accurate records.

Key Responsibilities

  • Place, track, and manage purchase orders in SYSPRO Source
  • Suppliers and confirm pricing, availability, and delivery timelines
  • Follow up on orders to ensure on-time delivery of materials and consumables
  • Support stock control through weekly stock reviews and replenishment planning
  • Assist with inspection of received goods to ensure quality compliance
  • Manage supplier queries and assist with resolving delivery or quality issues
  • Support supplier non-conformance reporting (NCRs) and corrective actions
  • Maintain accurate procurement, supplier, and stock records
  • Provide general administrative and coordination support to the Stores and Procurement team

Requirements

  • Matric (Grade 12)
  • Essential: 1 year experience in a procurement, buying, or stores-related role
  • Basic knowledge of procurement processes and supplier coordination
  • Computer literacy (MS Word, Excel, Outlook)
