About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Food and Beverage Manager to join our growing team at Hospitality Bistro in Pretoria. As a key member of our hospitality team, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional guest service, managing daily operations, and contributing to a vibrant dining experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Shift and weekend availability, including full duty manager responsibilities
- Daily cash-ups, morning capturing for the bookkeeper, and cash counting
- Issuing daily floats and keys
- Daily logging of fuel on Fuel Smart
- End-of-day commercial entity cash-up
- Loading invoices on Oracle for payment
- Capturing petty cash and imprest card purchases on Oracle
- Checking and sending daily speed point batch reports
- Coordinating private functions, weddings, and celebrations
- Assisting with midweek and month-end stock takes
- Maintaining high standards of food and beverage quality, presentation, and service
- Training, mentoring, and supervising staff
- Creating and maintaining menus aligned with culinary trends and guest preferences
- Handling guest feedback and resolving issues promptly
- Preparing weekly and monthly stock reports
- Ensuring management visibility on the floor every second weekend
- Transporting staff on the resort when required
- Assisting the commercial manager with additional duties
Requirements
- Shift and weekend availability
- Daily cash handling experience
- Basic knowledge of Oracle system
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively
