Buyer Engineering – Edenvale – Rneg

A project?driven engineering company is seeking an experienced Buyer to manage sourcing, pricing, and procurement for fabrication, rigging, steel, and mechanical components.

Responsibilities

• Source steel, mechanical parts, rigging equipment, consumables, and fabrication services.

• Prepare RFQs, analyse quotes, and recommend suppliers.

• Negotiate pricing, terms, and delivery schedules.

• Align procurement with project timelines and track long?lead items.

• Create accurate POs, follow up on orders, and resolve delivery or invoice issues.

• Ensure materials meet quality and technical standards.

Requirements

• 35 years experience as a Buyer in engineering, fabrication, manufacturing, or heavy industry.

• Strong knowledge of steel grades, machining, fabrication materials, and mechanical components.

• Able to read engineering drawings and BOQs.

• Strong negotiation, supplier management, and organisational skills.

• Proficient in procurement systems and Excel.
