Intermediate Demand Planner Location: Nigel, Gauteng Reporting to: Supply Chain Manager Salary: Approximately R92.57 per hour plus company benefits About the Role We are looking for an experienced Intermediate Demand Planner to join our Supply Chain team. The successful candidate will be responsible for balancing customer demand with production capacity, supplier deliveries, and inventory levels to ensure products are available when needed while controlling costs and minimizing excess stock. This role works closely with Supply Chain, Production, Procurement, Sales, and international teams to support forecasting, inventory management, production planning, and continuous improvement initiatives. Key Responsibilities Develop and maintain demand forecasts and supply plans. Balance customer demand with available production capacity and supplier lead times. Create and manage production and supplier schedules to ensure on-time delivery of materials and products. Run and manage MRP (Material Requirements Planning) processes and action planning. Monitor inventory levels and implement actions to reduce excess, slow-moving, and obsolete stock. Maintain accurate planning data, item master information, and system records. Analyse supply chain performance and generate reports on inventory, orders, purchasing, and forecasting. Work closely with Production, Sales, Procurement, and Supply Chain teams to align demand and supply plans. Support capacity planning and contribute to efficient production scheduling. Monitor product costs and identify opportunities for cost reduction. Use planning and reporting tools such as QAD, Power BI, Excel, and other analytical systems. Support Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives. Identify supply chain risks and implement corrective actions where required. Prepare monthly inventory and supply chain performance reports. Minimum Requirements Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business, Management, or a related field. Minimum 5 years’ experience in Supply Chain, Logistics, Procurement, or Demand Planning. Strong experience with forecasting, inventory management, and production planning. Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications. Experience working with ERP/MRP systems (QAD experience advantageous). Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. Fluent in both English and Afrikaans. Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
