IT Delivery Manager / Senior IT Project Manager

Overview

Our client is seeking an experienced IT Delivery Manager / Senior IT Project Manager to lead the successful delivery of strategic technology initiatives across the organisation. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing end-to-end project delivery, coordinating cross-functional teams, driving stakeholder engagement, and ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and aligned to business objectives.

This role requires a strong blend of project management, delivery leadership, governance, risk management, and stakeholder management capabilities within complex enterprise environments.


Key Responsibilities

Project & Delivery Management

  • Lead the end-to-end delivery of multiple IT projects and programmes.
  • Develop project plans, schedules, budgets, and resource allocation plans.
  • Manage project scope, timelines, deliverables, dependencies, and critical paths.
  • Ensure projects are delivered according to agreed quality standards and business requirements.
  • Track and report on project performance, risks, issues, and financials.

Stakeholder Management

  • Engage with business leaders, executives, product owners, architects, vendors, and delivery teams.
  • Facilitate project workshops, steering committees, and status meetings.
  • Manage stakeholder expectations and ensure alignment throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Provide executive reporting and project updates.

Governance, Risk & Compliance

  • Establish and maintain project governance structures.
  • Ensure adherence to PMO standards, SDLC processes, security policies, and regulatory requirements.
  • Manage RAID logs (Risks, Assumptions, Issues, Dependencies).
  • Drive project audits, quality reviews, and compliance activities.

Agile & Delivery Leadership

  • Lead Agile, Waterfall, or Hybrid delivery initiatives.
  • Support Scrum Masters, Business Analysts, Developers, and QA teams.
  • Facilitate planning, prioritisation, and delivery alignment across teams.
  • Drive continuous improvement and delivery excellence.

Financial & Vendor Management

  • Manage project budgets, forecasts, and financial reporting.
  • Track project expenditure and resource utilisation.
  • Manage third-party vendors, service providers, and contractual deliverables.
  • Ensure cost-effective project delivery.

Change & Transformation Management

  • Support organisational change initiatives related to project delivery.
  • Drive stakeholder adoption and business readiness activities.
  • Ensure successful transition into business-as-usual operations.

Minimum Requirements

IT Delivery Manager

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or related field.
  • 8+ years of IT project delivery experience.
  • 3+ years in a Delivery Manager, Programme Manager, or Senior Project Manager role.
  • Experience managing multiple concurrent technology projects.
  • Strong stakeholder and vendor management experience.

Senior IT Project Manager

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Business, Engineering, or related field.
  • 10+ years of IT project management experience.
  • Proven experience delivering large-scale enterprise projects.
  • Experience managing budgets, project teams, and executive stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated success in delivering complex technology transformation initiatives.
