Millwright Trade 3 – 5 Years in a heavy-duty Industrial Manufacturing Environment post trade experience required Maintain production machinery by replacing equipment: Control relays, contactors, isolators, limit switches, electric fans, electric conveyor rollers by fitting and aligning shafts, keyways, sprockets, wheels, lifting equipment, bearings, pulley’s, clutches, pneumatic and hydraulic cylinders, control valves etc. Ensure safe running of plant by doing fault-finding on machinery and prevention of electrical hazards such as loose motor cables, damaged electrical push buttons, as well as mechanical hazards i.e. lubrication / hydraulic oil on floor, damaged safety fences or gates, plant compressed air and water pipes Complete job cards Repair air compressor / driers and cooling towers Knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatic circuits and PLCs Respond to call outs and breakdowns – Shift work

Duties and Responsibilities: Installation: Setting up heavy machinery such as conveyors, crushers, vibrating screens and feeders. Alignment: Using precision tools (like dial indicators and laser alignment systems) to ensure shafts, gears, and couplings line up perfectly. Maintenance & Repairs: Troubleshooting and fixing mechanical issues, replacing worn parts, and performing preventative maintenance. Fabrication & Modification: Sometimes fabricating brackets, guards, or machine parts when standard components dont fit. Rigging & Moving Equipment: Handling cranes, hoists, and other rigging gear to safely lift and position large machinery. Skills & Tools: Strong mechanical knowledge (gears, bearings, hydraulics, pneumatics). Welding, cutting, and machining skills. Precision measuring instruments (micrometers, vernier calipers). Blueprint and technical drawing interpretation.
