About the Role

The Operations/Plant Manager is a critical role that oversees the day-to-day operations of our manufacturing facility in Pinetown. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring seamless production, quality control, and supply chain management while driving business growth and sustainability.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan, coordinate, and monitor production schedules to meet customer demands while minimizing costs.
  • Implement and maintain quality control processes to ensure products meet industry standards and regulations.
  • Identify areas for improvement in production efficiency.
  • Lead, train, and develop operational teams, fostering a culture of collaboration and accountability.
  • Prepare and manage budgets for operations, ensuring financial targets are met.
  • Collaborate with suppliers and logistics to ensure timely delivery of materials and components.
  • Ensure compliance with occupational health and safety regulations, promoting a safe working environment.
  • Generate and analyse operational reports, providing insights and recommendations to senior management.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in operations within the automotive industry
