About the Role

Our client, a reputable legal firm, is seeking a motivated Post-Admission Attorney with 35 years litigation experience to join their team in Pretoria. The ideal candidate will handle litigation matters efficiently, manage client relationships professionally, and assist in commercial and trust-related legal matters.

Key Responsibilities

  • Draft and manage pleadings, affidavits, notices of motion, and other court documents
  • Attend court proceedings, pre-trial conferences, mediations, and client meetings
  • Conduct legal research, prepare opinions, and advise clients on merits and risks
  • Manage case files, track deadlines, and liaise with counsel and courts
  • Prepare settlements, negotiate on behalf of clients, and manage out-of-court resolutions

Requirements

  • Admitted attorney with 35 years litigation experience post-admission
  • Experience in commercial litigation or legal suits; trust-related experience advantageous
  • Excellent drafting and communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Fluency in Afrikaans and English essential
  • Strong analytical, research, and negotiation skills
  • Ability to manage multiple cases and work under pressure
