Job Description

We are looking for a qualified and experienced Safety Officer to monitor workplace activities and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations. The successful candidate will be responsible for promoting a safe working environment, conducting inspections, identifying hazards, and implementing corrective actions. -Conduct regular safety inspections and risk assessments -Ensure compliance with occupational health and safety regulations -Investigate incidents and accidents and compile reports -Implement and maintain safety policies and procedures -Conduct toolbox talks and safety training -Monitor use of PPE and enforce safety standards -Maintain safety records and documentation -Assist with emergency preparedness and evacuation procedures -Liaise with management and employees regarding safety matters Grade 12 / Matric Relevant Health & Safety qualification SAMTRAC certification (advantageous) Knowledge of OHS Act and safety regulations Minimum 5 years experience as a Safety Officer Good communication and report-writing skills Computer literacy (MS Office) Experience in the Transport industry will be an advantage
