About the Role
We are seeking a Junior Fintech and AI Analyst to join our team in Cape Town City Centre. As a key member of our operations team, you will play a crucial role in supporting the day-to-day operation and improvement of our fintech platforms, data feeds, and internal systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the day-to-day operation and improvement of fintech platforms, data feeds, and internal systems
- Assist with system testing, enhancements, and rollout of new functionality
- Investigate and resolve data or system issues, escalating where required
- Work with structured and semi-structured data, including validation, reconciliation, and quality checks
- Prepare reports, dashboards, and insights for internal stakeholders
- Support automation initiatives to improve operational efficiency and reduce manual processes
- Assist in exploring and piloting AI-enabled tools, workflow automation, and data analysis solutions
- Participate in process improvement initiatives, including process mapping, documentation, and user guides
Requirements
- 0-3 years experience or a recent graduate with strong practical exposure
- Background in technology, data, analytics, engineering, or quantitative disciplines preferred
- Degree or diploma in Computer Science/Information Systems/Data Science/Analytics/Engineering/Finance with strong technical focus
- Strong Excel and comfortable working with data
- Basic understanding of databases or data structures, automation tools, and exposure to APIs or system integrations
