About the Role

We are seeking a Junior Fintech and AI Analyst to join our team in Cape Town City Centre. As a key member of our operations team, you will play a crucial role in supporting the day-to-day operation and improvement of our fintech platforms, data feeds, and internal systems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the day-to-day operation and improvement of fintech platforms, data feeds, and internal systems
  • Assist with system testing, enhancements, and rollout of new functionality
  • Investigate and resolve data or system issues, escalating where required
  • Work with structured and semi-structured data, including validation, reconciliation, and quality checks
  • Prepare reports, dashboards, and insights for internal stakeholders
  • Support automation initiatives to improve operational efficiency and reduce manual processes
  • Assist in exploring and piloting AI-enabled tools, workflow automation, and data analysis solutions
  • Participate in process improvement initiatives, including process mapping, documentation, and user guides

Requirements

  • 0-3 years experience or a recent graduate with strong practical exposure
  • Background in technology, data, analytics, engineering, or quantitative disciplines preferred
  • Degree or diploma in Computer Science/Information Systems/Data Science/Analytics/Engineering/Finance with strong technical focus
  • Strong Excel and comfortable working with data
  • Basic understanding of databases or data structures, automation tools, and exposure to APIs or system integrations
