About the Role
As an Agri Portfolio Manager â Senior, you will play a pivotal role in driving business growth and fostering strong client relationships through effective new agri-business development, rigorous financial analysis, and strategic cross-selling efforts.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain a pipeline of potential clients (and/or suppliers where applicable)
- Analyse market trends to capitalise on emerging opportunities
- Conduct thorough assessments of client needs and propose tailored financial solutions
- Collaborate with internal teams to structure deals that meet both client requirements and company objectives
- Negotiate terms and conditions with clients to ensure mutually beneficial agreements
- Evaluate the financial viability of proposed deals and assess their potential impact on overall profitability
- Ensure timely and efficient execution of new business transactions from initiation to closure
- Develop strong relationships with existing clients to uncover additional cross-selling opportunities
Requirements
- Matric required
- BCom degree with Finance and/or Agriculture as a subject(s) advantageous
- 2-5 years of work experience
- 5-10 years of experience in a sales position within agriculture/farming operations
- Ability to understand and analyse financial statements within the agricultural sector
- Familiarity with National Credit Act
