About the Role
We are seeking a highly experienced Warehouse Supervisor to join our team in Johannesburg. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day activities of our warehouse and ensuring that all processes run smoothly and efficiently.
Key Responsibilities
- Timeous planning on warehouse space and resources
- Assisting the warehouse manager in planning, co-ordinating, monitoring and managing the movement of all incoming/ outgoing goods
- Assist warehouse manager in developing a tracking system for the management of receipts and despatches
- Stock rotation
- Ensure stock audits are completed as required by the inventory controller and work closely with all departments to ensure everyone is aware of the stock availability
- Customer and Transporting Company Liaison
- Continually maximize space utilisation through effective stock rotation and meet targets set by warehouse manager
- Maintaining SHEQ standards and record keeping, inspection checklists, toolbox training, correct PPE and warehouse inductions as necessary
- Work closely with the SHEQ assistant to ensure all processes and procedures are accurately followed
- Reporting monthly reports to warehouse manager including forecasts, budgeting and trends for the month ahead
- Ensuring supplier pallets are well managed and returns are executed daily
Requirements
- Matric A completed Tertiary Degree/Diploma in Logistics
- Experience of SAGE Evolution is advantageous
- At least intermediate knowledge of excel
- At least 3 years’ experience in a warehousing environment within an FMCG industry
- Medium/Large business warehousing experience
