This is a hands-on, operational finance role where you will work closely with the CEO and Global CFO, leading the finance function and ensuring strong financial control, reporting, and insight as the business scales. Key Responsibilities: Lead the finance team and oversee all accounting and reporting activities Manage month-end, year-end, management reporting, and audit processes Prepare management accounts, budgets, cash flow forecasts, and variance analysis Oversee inter-company transactions and support group consolidations Drive financial modelling and scenario planning to support growth Ensure accurate cost accounting and margin analysis within the manufacturing environment Improve systems, data quality, and financial controls across finance and inventory platforms Build strong relationships with banks, auditors, and external stakeholders Requirements: Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field Professional qualification, such as CA(SA) or CIMA preferred Minimum 5 years experience in a senior finance or financial management role, ideally within manufacturing or a product-based business Strong systems capability (experience with Xero advantageous) Experience with inter-company accounting and group structures Strong analytical and financial modelling skills Confident working with senior stakeholders and external partners

  • Investigating and suggesting most tax efficient packages for staff
  • Reviewing monthly payroll

  • Ensuring statutory compliance

Requirements

  • Minimum 3-5 years commercial experience

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Financial Manager to join our team in Cape Town City Centre. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing strategic financial leadership and management, ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial reporting, and driving cost savings and efficiency initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Review and present monthly management accounts, financial analysis, and performance reports to senior leadership
  • Drive cost control through budget vs actual analysis, COS reviews, and identification of efficiency and savings opportunities
  • Oversee tax compliance including VAT, payroll taxes, and annual income tax calculations
  • Manage treasury and cash controls, including payment approvals, cash-flow forecasting, reconciliations, and float controls
  • Oversee procurement activities, stock controls, and supplier management to ensure value, compliance, and accuracy
  • Lead monthly stock counts, spot checks, and monitoring of slow-moving or expired stock
  • Ensure accurate payroll inputs, review payroll reports, and manage labour costs against approved structures
  • Maintain fixed asset registers and ensure proper safeguarding, project controls, and asset verification
  • Monitor accounts receivable, debtor ageing, and operational accounts, escalating risks where required
  • Lead budgeting, forecasting, and rolling estimates, supporting financial planning and performance tracking
  • Coordinate external audits and support the preparation of annual financial statements

Requirements

  • Minimum 35 years experience in a Financial Manager or senior finance role within an operational environment

About the Role

The Financial Manager role is a critical position in our organisation, responsible for ensuring the financial health and stability of our entities. The successful candidate will be required to provide strategic financial leadership and guidance to support business growth and achievement of organisational objectives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Preparing accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and annual reports and management accounts
  • Managing year-end audit process and liaising with external auditors
  • Drafting financial board reports for directors and trustees
  • Overseeing preparation and review of annual budgets for all entities
  • Preparing rolling forecasts and scenario planning to support strategic decision-making
  • Analyzing variances against budget and providing insights
  • Assisting operational staff with budgeting and cost management
  • Monitoring daily cash flow, working capital, and reserves
  • Overseeing SARS submissions (VAT, PAYE, Income Tax) and statutory returns
  • Ensuring SARB loan approvals are in place
  • Reviewing monthly payroll & related statutory returns

Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years experience
  • Minimum 2-5 years management experience
  • Exposure to preparation of monthly management accounts
  • Previous working experience with foreign currencies and foreign entities (advantageous)
  • International exposure (advantageous)

BCom Accounting (or similar)

We are seeking a highly skilled Financial Manager to join our team in Cape Town City Centre. About the Role

A leading independent power producer, operating and developing power projects in South Africa and based in Claremont, Cape Town, is seeking a Financial Manager to join their Dynamic Finance Management Team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the reporting and financial management of various project companies within the portfolio, providing financial business partner support to the operations team on eight operational power plants.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and manage transactional and reporting processes
  • Maintenance and responsibility for the accuracy and timeliness of the books and records, including general ledgers and any other reporting
  • Maintain the fixed asset ledger for all the project SPV’s
  • Ensure that month end accounts are closed by working day four
  • Overall responsibility of the accuracy and completeness of the P&L and Balance Sheets
  • Review reconciliations
  • Prepare the finance inputs for monthly analysis and input for monthly shareholder and stakeholder reports
  • Prepare the finance inputs for Board meeting reports

Requirements

  • Sound technical, business and financial reporting skills
  • Knowledge of financial systems, financial processes and internal control mechanisms
  • Ability to work in fast-paced and changing environment
  • Ability to manage stress and high-pressure situations
  • Strong understanding of internal control systems and financial compliance matters

  • Provide management oversight of Debtors, Creditors, Payroll, and Bookkeeping functions.
  • Contribute to the preparation and presentation of the Annual Report.
  • Investigate outstanding GL balances and queries during month-end.
  • Ensure compliance with accounting policies and standards.

Requirements

Relevant tertiary qualification (Diploma or Degree in Accounting/Finance)

Completed articles (advantageous)

Minimum 3 years relevant experience

Exposure to Treasury reporting

Knowledge of government prescripts (PFMA, SCM)

Essential working knowledge of accounting systems (e.g., AccPac)
