Our client is seeking an experienced Manager: Duty to oversee the day-to-day cargo operations within a busy air cargo network. The role is focused on operational efficiency, team leadership, compliance, and customer satisfaction while ensuring cargo movement is executed safely and on time. You will play a key role in coordinating resources, managing shift operations, maintaining service standards, and ensuring compliance with aviation and dangerous goods regulations. This role requires a strong operational mindset, the ability to lead teams across shifts, and a proactive approach to solving operational challenges. You will engage with multiple stakeholders, including internal teams, customers, service providers, and regulatory bodies, while ensuring operational continuity and service excellence. What You’ll Do Manage daily cargo operations and oversee the movement of freight within the network Allocate operational resources to ensure on-time performance Lead shift briefings and manage operational handovers between teams Ensure compliance with dangerous goods, AVSEC, and safety regulations Monitor cargo acceptance, screening, and documentation processes Investigate operational discrepancies and customer complaints Compile daily operational reports and monthly rosters Manage equipment inspections and coordinate maintenance requirements Drive customer satisfaction through effective communication and service delivery Lead, supervise, and monitor operational staff performance Ensure adherence to company policies, procedures, and airport regulations What You Bring Diploma in Supply Chain Management or related qualification Minimum 2 years’ experience within the airline or freight industry Experience in cargo operations and team supervision Knowledge of aviation safety and dangerous goods regulations Strong customer service and communication skills Operational planning and administrative capability Computer literacy and report writing ability Valid driver’s licence and own transport Willingness to work shifts and overtime when required What Success Looks Like Efficient and compliant cargo operations across all shifts Strong operational performance with minimal service disruptions High levels of customer satisfaction and communication Safe working environments with full regulatory compliance Well-managed teams delivering consistent operational standards Accurate reporting, rostering, and operational documentation
