Key Responsibilities
- Perform preventative and breakdown maintenance on electrical systems and equipment.
- Diagnose and repair electrical faults on production machinery and plant equipment.
- Install, test, and commission electrical systems, motors, drives, and control circuits.
- Conduct routine inspections to identify potential electrical issues and implement corrective actions.
- Maintain electrical drawings, maintenance records, and documentation.
- Ensure compliance with electrical regulations, safety standards, and company procedures.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives aimed at improving equipment reliability and reducing downtime.
- Assist with shutdowns, upgrades, and plant improvement projects.
- Work closely with production and maintenance teams to achieve operational targets.
- Ensure housekeeping and safety standards are maintained within the work area.
Minimum Requirements
- Grade 12 (Matric).
- Qualified Electrician with a recognized Trade Test (Red Seal).
- 3–5 years’ experience in a manufacturing, FMCG, food processing, or production environment.
- Strong knowledge of electrical fault-finding, motors, drives, PLCs, and control systems.
- Experience with preventative and predictive maintenance practices.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and technical drawings.
- Valid driver’s licence will be advantageous.
