About the Role
The Depot Assistant role at our Middelburg location requires a motivated individual with experience in the container industry to join our team. As a key member of our depot staff, you will be responsible for maintaining a safe and attractive sales and rental fleet, while also providing excellent customer service.
Key Responsibilities
- Cleaning of containers
- General maintenance and repairs on all sales, rental and self-storage containers
- General housekeeping of the depot
- Maintenance and cleaning of equipment and tools
- Conduct inspections on ingoing and outgoing containers
- Complete Container Inspection Reports
- Assist in physical inventories and ensure proper stock rotation
- Keep appropriate records and reports to ensure tight inventory control and security is maintained
Requirements
- Computer literate
- Experience in Container Industry (advantageous)
- To come from a depot / industrial / logistics environment (advantageous)
Qualifications
Matric – Senior Certificate
