Internal Vacancy: Diamond Cut Coordinator Department: Machining Reports to: Machining Manager Employment Type: Permanent About the Role: BORBET SA is seeking a Diamond Cut Coordinator to lead and manage the operations of our Diamond Cut department within the Machining division. This role is responsible for ensuring production targets are met efficiently, safely, and in line with the highest quality standards. The successful candidate will provide both technical and leadership direction, driving process improvements, compliance, and team development. Key Responsibilities: Oversee daily Diamond Cut operations to achieve production and quality objectives. Plan and control material and resource flow within the Diamond Cut area. Coordinate shift schedules and manpower to meet production demands. Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions to reduce scrap and rework. Lead continuous improvement, Lean, and 5S initiatives to enhance productivity and efficiency. Supervise and develop supervisors and operators through coaching, feedback, and training. Ensure compliance with all Health, Safety, and Environmental standards. Collaborate with Maintenance to ensure all equipment is in optimal condition and preventive maintenance schedules are adhered to. Support audits, customer inspections, and improvement programs aligned with IATF 16949 and VDA 6.3 standards. Ensure all CNC Machines maintain Machine Zero at all times. Generating and optimizing of CNC programs. Controlling Tooling and Chucking systems. Manage all new wheel projects. Qualifications & Experience: Trade test qualification as a Tool Making or Turner Machinist is an essential requirement National Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or Operations Management would be advantageous . Minimum 3–5 years’ experience in automotive machining or automation operations is essential At least 3 years in a supervisory or coordinator role is essential . Strong knowledge of machining systems, programming methods, and quality control processes. Proficiency in MS Office; ERP system experience preferred. Strong programming skills on EdgeCam is essential . Skills & Competencies: Strong technical understanding of machining and surface finishing processes. Kuka certified essential . Excellent organizational, analytical, and planning abilities. Proactive problem-solving approach. Effective communicator and team motivator. Safety- and quality-driven mindset. Behavioral Attributes: Detail-oriented and consistent. Confident, assertive, and results oriented. Collaborative and supportive leadership style. High integrity and accountability . Candidates should be prepared to undergo internal and/or external assessments as part of the selection process.
