Our client, a well-established manufacturing organisation, is seeking an experienced Payables & Cash Control Team Lead to join their expanding finance team, in Port Elizabeth.

The successful candidate will ensure accurate processing of supplier transactions, maintain strong financial controls, support cash flow management, and drive compliance with company policies and financial regulations.

Minimum 5 years’ experience within Accounts Payable, Cashbook, or Financial Accounting secures.

This role is responsible for overseeing the following:

  • accounts payable function,
  • cashbook administration,
  • foreign / international supplier transactions,
  • month-end reporting, and
  • supervision and coach Accounts Payable Administrators.

Requirements:

  • BCom Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience within Accounts Payable, Cashbook, or Financial Accounting
  • Previous supervisory or team leadership experience
  • Strong understanding of Accounts Payable processes and controls
  • Experience managing supplier reconciliations and payment cycles
  • Knowledge of foreign supplier payments and exchange rate accounting
  • Strong understanding of VAT requirements and financial compliance
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
  • ERP system experience advantageous
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities
