About the Role

A well-established IT services environment is seeking a skilled Senior Support Engineer to manage infrastructure, support, and security across a fast-paced client environment. The ideal candidate will be a hands-on problem-solver who thrives under pressure and takes pride in maintaining stable, secure, and high-performing systems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as the escalation point for technical support issues and resolve incidents efficiently.
  • Maintain and optimise Windows server environments and endpoint infrastructure.
  • Manage Active Directory, Group Policies, and endpoint security.
  • Administer Microsoft Intune and Microsoft 365 environments.
  • Configure and maintain networks including VLANs, VPNs, and routing.
  • Manage and support pfSense firewalls and UniFi environments.
  • Implement and maintain backup and disaster recovery solutions.
  • Ensure systems meet security, patching, and compliance standards.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and support audit readiness.
  • Lead infrastructure upgrades, migrations, and improvement projects.
  • Manage vendors, licensing, and IT assets across their lifecycle.

Requirements

Strong Windows Server administration experience.

Proven pfSense firewall experience.

Solid networking knowledge including VLANs, VPNs, and routing.

Experience with Microsoft Intune and Microsoft 365.

Strong backup and disaster recovery experience.

Exposure to security best practices and compliance environments.

Ability to manage full infrastructure across hardware, software, and cloud.

Strong documentation, organisation, and governance discipline.
