About the Role
As an Earthworks Foreman at One Connect Solutions, you will be responsible for overseeing daily earthworks activities on-site, ensuring projects are completed safely and efficiently. You will lead site crews, subcontractors, and equipment operators, while also interpreting and executing project plans, drawings, and specifications.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and manage daily earthworks activities on-site, including excavation, grading, trenching, and compaction.
- Lead and coordinate site crews, subcontractors, and equipment operators.
- Interpret and execute project plans, drawings, and specifications.
- Ensure all work is completed according to safety regulations and company standards.
- Monitor progress and productivity, adjusting plans as needed to meet deadlines.
- Conduct site inspections and quality control checks.
- Manage materials, equipment usage, and site logistics efficiently.
- Report on project status, issues, and resource needs to project management.
- Enforce health and safety protocols and promote a safety-first culture.
Requirements
- 10 Years experience – Proven experience as an Earthworks Foreman or similar supervisory role in civil construction.
- Strong knowledge of earthmoving equipment and techniques.
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and survey data.
- Excellent leadership and team management skills.
- Solid understanding of health and safety regulations.
- Good communication and problem-solving abilities.
- Valid driver’s license (Code B or higher preferred).
- Relevant certifications (e.g., First Aid, Safety Training) are advantageous.
