About the Role
GAP Consulting is seeking an experienced Operations | Plant Manager to join our team in Durban. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Automotive Manufacturing and a proven track record of optimizing processes for continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage plant operations to achieve optimal productivity and efficiency
- Implement and maintain quality control systems
- Lead cross-functional teams and manage projects
- Oversee production management and budgeting
- Ensure health and safety compliance and strategic planning
- Monitor ESG and reporting requirements
Requirements
- Minimum of 10 years experience in Automotive Manufacturing
- At least 5 years of experience in Operations Management
- Degree in Engineering required
- Solid understanding of Automotive Manufacturing
- Strong working knowledge of Quality Control Systems, Team Management, Managing Cross-functional Projects, Production Management, Budget Management, Health and Safety Compliance, Strategic Planning, ESG and Reporting
Qualifications
- Valid Driver’s License and own Transport required
Salary & Benefits
- Basic Salary of up to R 75 000, negotiable based on experience
