Role Overview

A leading igaming and betting company is seeking a commercially focused, hands-on BI, Analytics & Data Insights Manager to lead the business intelligence, management information, reporting, and analytics capability across the organization.

This is not a pure enterprise architecture or theoretical governance role. The business already has technical architecture capability in place. The focus of this role is on transforming operational, customer, betting, gaming, financial, and marketing data into meaningful commercial insights that support faster, smarter business decision-making.

The successful candidate must be able to operate both strategically and operationally engaging with leadership on business performance while also remaining close enough to the data, reporting environment, dashboards, and analytics outputs to ensure accuracy, usability, and commercial value.

This role is ideally suited to someone from an iGaming, sportsbook, online betting, fintech, payments, digital product, telecoms, or other high-volume transactional environments where real-time reporting, operational analytics, and customer behaviour insights are business critical.

Key Focus Areas

Business Intelligence & Reporting

  • Own and drive the BI and analytics capability across the business
  • Lead the development of operational, commercial, customer, financial, and executive dashboards
  • Ensure accurate, trusted, and actionable reporting across all departments
  • Deliver meaningful MI (Management Information) that supports strategic and operational decision-making
  • Improve visibility of business performance through self-service reporting and analytics
  • Standardise KPIs, reporting definitions, and dashboard structures across the organisation

Commercial & Operational Analytics

Drive analytics and reporting across areas including:

  • Sportsbook and casino performance
  • Customer acquisition, retention, churn, and player behaviour
  • CRM and campaign performance analytics
  • Revenue, GGR, NGR, bonus spend, and promotional effectiveness
  • Deposits, withdrawals, settlements, and payment trends
  • Operational and contact centre performance
  • Workforce and productivity reporting
  • Risk, fraud, AML, and responsible gambling indicators

The role requires someone who can identify trends, risks, opportunities, and operational inefficiencies through data analysis and translate these into commercially valuable insights.

Dashboarding, Visualisation & Data Storytelling

  • Design and oversee intuitive, executive-level dashboards and reporting environments
  • Ensure reporting is visually clear, commercially relevant, and user-friendly
  • Translate complex datasets into simplified business insights for non-technical stakeholders
  • Drive dashboard adoption across leadership and operational teams
  • Ensure near real-time visibility where operationally required

Data Integrity & Reporting Accuracy

  • Ensure consistency and integrity of reporting across betting, operational, finance, and CRM environments
  • Work closely with Finance and Operations to reconcile and validate key business metrics
  • Improve data quality, reporting reliability, and reporting governance
  • Support audit and compliance reporting requirements where needed
  • Identify reporting gaps and continuously improve analytics capability

Stakeholder Engagement

Partner closely with:

  • Executive leadership
  • Operations
  • Finance
  • Marketing & CRM
  • Customer Support
  • Compliance & Risk
  • Technology teams

The successful candidate must be commercially confident, highly collaborative, and capable of influencing business decisions through data-driven insights.

Technical Environment

Strong experience in several of the following is highly preferred:

  • Power BI
  • SQL
  • Excel / Advanced Excel
  • Data visualisation and dashboarding tools
  • Data warehousing / reporting environments
  • CRM and campaign analytics
  • Operational reporting environments
  • High-volume transactional databases
  • Near real-time reporting
  • Data modelling and KPI frameworks

Exposure to cloud analytics environments, customer data platforms, and iGaming reporting ecosystems would be advantageous.

Required Experience

Essential

  • 6+ years experience in BI, data analytics, reporting, or commercial insights roles
  • 3+ years in a senior BI or analytics management role
  • Experience within high-volume transactional environments
  • Strong hands-on dashboarding and reporting capability
  • Strong commercial analytics and business performance reporting experience
  • Advanced SQL and BI reporting exposure
  • Experience working with operational, financial, customer, or digital performance data

Highly Advantageous

  • iGaming, sportsbook, online betting, fintech, telecoms, or payments industry experience
  • Experience analysing customer/player behaviour and transactional data
  • Exposure to fraud, AML, responsible gambling, or risk analytics
  • Experience building reporting functions or BI capability within growing businesses
