About the Role

The Technical Application Specialist – IVD Products role is a critical position that requires a strong technical background and excellent customer service skills. The ideal candidate will be responsible for supporting customers with various issues related to our IVD products, driving sales growth, and ensuring regulatory compliance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supporting customers with analyser, application, operator, and reagent issues
  • Working closely with the sales team to drive sales growth
  • Growing product adoption and support installations
  • Training customers and field staff
  • Maintaining accurate documentation/reporting
  • Improving customer satisfaction
  • Ensuring regulatory and quality compliance
  • Participating in events to promote the company as required
  • Collaborating with FSEs for successful installation procedures
  • Investigating systemic problems, identifying causes, and developing solutions
  • Developing training materials using information from suppliers
  • Managing resources and technology enhancements for superior customer support training programs
  • Providing monthly reports to the Technical Application Manager
  • Implementing and maintaining Quality System effectiveness

Requirements

  • BSC degree or National Diploma in Biomedical Technology or Degree
  • Previous experience working in a laboratory environment as a Technician, Technologist, or Scientist
  • Experience dealing with customers is essential
  • Proficiency in LIS system and computer literacy with MS Office
  • Understanding of scientific/medical terminology
  • Previous experience as a TAS in a diagnostic equipment environment is preferred

  • Formal education/certifications (Bachelor’s, LLB, Matric, etc.) not specified
