About the Role

Our client, a well-established automotive dealership in Knysna, is seeking a motivated and customer-focused Parts Sales Representative to join their dynamic team. This is an excellent opportunity for an individual with strong sales abilities, sound automotive parts knowledge, and a passion for delivering exceptional customer service.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist customers (retail, workshop, and trade) with parts enquiries and product information
  • Identify, source, and supply the correct vehicle parts and accessories
  • Process parts orders accurately using the Dealer Management System (DMS)
  • Prepare quotations, invoices, and sales documentation for customers
  • Maintain strong customer relationships and provide excellent customer service
  • Liaise with workshop technicians and service advisors to ensure correct parts are supplied timeously
  • Follow up on outstanding orders and backorders to ensure timely delivery
  • Assist with stock control, including receiving, issuing, and recording of parts
  • Conduct stock checks and assist with regular inventory counts
  • Ensure correct pricing, discounts, and warranty procedures are applied
  • Promote and upsell parts, accessories, and related products
  • Manage customer queries, returns, and complaints professionally and efficiently
  • Maintain accurate records of sales and transactions within the system
  • Ensure cleanliness, organisation, and proper storage of parts within the department
  • Assist in managing supplier relationships and ordering processes where required
  • Ensure compliance with dealership policies and manufacturer standards
  • Contribute to achieving monthly sales targets and departmental objectives
  • Support overall efficiency and smooth operation of the parts department

Requirements

  • Matric
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in automotive parts sales or a dealership parts department
  • Knowledge of automotive parts, accessories, and components
  • Experience working with manufacturer parts catalogues and electronic parts systems
  • Computer literacy in Microsoft Office, Drive, Evolve
  • Fluent in Afrikaans and English
  • Valid driver’s license and own vehicle

  • Formal education/certifications (if applicable)
