About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Inside/Parlour Dairy Manager to join our team, responsible for the day-to-day management of our dairy herd and parlour operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain high standards of dairy hygiene and stockmanship
- Implement and enforce milking routines and protocols
- Supervise and motivate a team of staff to ensure efficient parlour operations
- Perform administrative tasks, including data entry and record-keeping
- Maintain equipment and perform routine maintenance tasks
- Liaise with farmers and suppliers to ensure smooth operations
Requirements
- Agricultural Diploma/Degree advantageous
- Minimum of 3 years dairy herd management experience
- Proven ability to AI (artificial insemination)
- Strong stockmanship skills
- Knowledge of milking routines and protocols
- Strong admin and management skills
- Computer literacy with proven experience working with Dairy software
