About the Role

We are seeking a seasoned Financial Manager to join our team in Cape Town City Centre. As a key member of our finance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of financial reporting, managing working capital, and supporting treasury operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Preparing reconciliations
  • Finalizing month-end close activities: journal preparation, review support, balance sheet reconciliations, and close timetable management
  • Coordinating audit deliverables and supporting external auditors
  • Supporting working capital and liquidity monitoring across entities and currencies
  • Providing support with day-to-day treasury operations: cash movement tracking, settlement funding
  • Ensuring tax compliance
  • Partnering with Legal, Compliance, Risk to respond to regulator queries

Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years experience
  • Experience in Fintech, Payments, Financial services, cross-border crypto operations (preferred)
  • Proven experience running month-end close, reconciliations, and management reporting in a multi-entity environment
  • Exposure to treasury operations, working capital management, FX/cross-border settlements
  • Experience in supporting audits and working with external advisors in regulated environments
  • Comfortable working with data (models, dashboards, large operational datasets); experience improving processes/controls
  • Experience or interest in using tooling like Python / SQL
  • Strong working knowledge of IFRS

Qualifications

  • BCom Accounting (or similar)
  • Articles experience
  • Designation preferred CA(SA)/ CIMA

About the Role

A leading independent power producer, operating and developing power projects in South Africa and based in Claremont, Cape Town, is seeking a Financial Manager to join their Dynamic Finance Management Team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the reporting and financial management of various project companies within the portfolio, providing financial business partner support to the operations team on eight operational power plants.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and manage transactional and reporting processes
  • Maintenance and responsibility for the accuracy and timeliness of the books and records, including general ledgers and any other reporting
  • Maintain the fixed asset ledger for all the project SPVs
  • Ensure that month end accounts are closed by working day four
  • Overall responsibility of the accuracy and completeness of the P&L and Balance Sheets
  • Review reconciliations
  • Prepare the finance inputs for monthly analysis and input for monthly shareholder and stakeholder reports
  • Prepare the finance inputs for Board meeting reports
  • Cash Flow Management
  • Cash management responsibility, ensuring cash use is maximised for the project SPV and all lender covenant requirements are met
  • Timely cash reporting and forecasting
  • Maintain treasury banking relationships, including primary day-to-day interface with operational bank providers
  • Liaison with lenders and auditors to ensure compliance with all filing requirements and assist in the resolution of new accounting issues
  • Repayment of loans review calculations for accuracy before processing payments
  • Payment of dividends and distributions to shareholders
  • Statutory and Compliance Reporting
  • Preparation and sign-off of annual audited accounts/financial statements preparation in accordance with IFRS
  • Ensure all CIPC and other related reports are filed timeously
  • Working closely with the Group tax manager and tax practitioner, manage all local tax issues for the project SPVs
  • Ensure tax compliance requirements are met, including all corporation tax, VAT and WHT returns
  • Manage external tax advisors and coordinate advice as required
  • Manage the process of obtaining tax clearance certificates and any advanced rulings that are deemed necessary
  • Lead the response to all tax audits, liaising with local tax advisors as required
  • Review and where necessary assist with Value Added Tax (VAT) and VAT returns
  • Ad hoc compliance reports from various institutions including Stats SA, NERSA, etc.

About the Role

The Financial Manager role at our company involves overseeing all aspects of financial management, ensuring accurate and timely reporting to support business growth. This position requires a strong analytical mind, excellent communication skills, and experience in driving process improvements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Reviewing account reconciliations
  • Preparing trial balance reports to lead balance sheet reviews with Commercial finance leaders
  • Overseeing completed financial controls
  • Reviewing with Commercial Finance the completed revenue calculation
  • Uploading budgets into the finance systems
  • Reviewing and approving unbilled media accruals in agreement with the Commercial finance team
  • Supporting the group audit process, with both internal and external audit
  • Reviewing intercompany accounts ensuring no out of balance
  • Supporting in the preparation of statutory accounts
  • Guiding and managing RTR team to meet and exceed agreed business SLA targets

Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years of experience
  • Experience in a Financial Controller or equivalent role, preferably working in an IFRS environment
  • Possess knowledge of the Media or Digital sectors (advantageous)
  • Prior experience working in a Shared Service Centre environment
  • Desire to drive improvements in the end-to-end process for accounting and reporting
  • Significant experience of working in standard ERP and Consolidation packages (NetSuite and Adaptive Insight)
  • Fluent English language skills (other languages advantageous)

We are seeking an experienced Financial Manager to join our team in Cape Town City Centre, responsible for providing strategic financial leadership and oversight to drive business growth and success.

Key Responsibilities

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Financial Manager to join our team in Cape Town City Centre, responsible for ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial reporting and controls. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in financial management and experience working in a Shared Service Centre environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Review account reconciliations and prepare trial balance reports
  • Lead balance sheet reviews with Commercial Finance leaders
  • Review completed financial controls and ensure ledger integrity
  • Review intercompany accounts and ensure balances are fully reconciled
  • Review and approve unbilled media accruals in agreement with Commercial Finance
  • Support the preparation of statutory accounts
  • Manage month-end and year-end close activities
  • Perform monthly results reviews with Commercial Finance teams
  • Deliver standard month-end reporting and client profitability reports

Requirements

  • Minimum 56 years post-articles / post-qualification experience in a Financial Controller or equivalent role
  • Prior experience working in a Shared Service Centre environment is highly beneficial
  • Experience working in an IFRS environment
  • Knowledge of the Media or Digital sectors is an advantage, but not required
  • Strong communication, influencing, collaboration, and relationship-building skills across global cultures

Accounting Degree OR Equivalent

About the Role

The Financial Manager role is a critical position in our organisation, responsible for overseeing financial management and ensuring compliance with statutory requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Overseeing monthly payroll preparation
  • Supporting and managing statutory compliance (VAT, PAYE, UIF, etc.)
  • Reviewing and approving payments, supplier reconciliations, and bank reconciliations
  • Preparing and reviewing monthly management accounts
  • Assisting with variance analysis and reporting to leadership
  • Liaising with auditors and managing audit queries
  • Supporting the preparation of annual budgets and rolling forecasts
  • Assisting with cash flow forecasting and planning
  • Supporting financial modelling and scenario analysis
  • Managing Senior Financial Administrators and Financial Administrators
  • Identifying opportunities to improve systems, reporting, and workflows

Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years of experience as Accountant
  • Meticulous attention to detail
  • Strong organisational skills
  • Deadline–driven
  • Ability to operate in a fast-moving environment
  • Background in Consumer or Assurance industry (non-negotiable)
  • Strong understanding of tax legislation and statutory obligations

Qualifications

Newly qualified CA (SA) with 2 years of experience
