Job Description
About the Role
The successful incumbent will be responsible for selling and promoting new electric motors, quote customers on the supply of electric motors, gearboxes, and VSD. Achieve maximum sales profitability, growth and market penetration within an assigned territory and/or market segment by effectively selling the company’s products and/or related services. Personally contact and secure new business accounts/customers.
Key Responsibilities
- Establish, develop and maintain business relationships with current customers and prospective customers in the assigned territory/market segments, to generate new business for the organization’s products/services.
- Make telephone calls and in-person visits and presentations to existing and prospective customers.
- Research of market segments & territories, in a view to identify prospective customers and their potential.
- Develop clear and effective written proposals/quotations for current and prospective customers.
- Expedite the resolution of customer problems and complaints.
- Coordinate sales effort with marketing, sales management, accounting, logistics and technical service groups.
- Create and manages a customer value plan for existing customers highlighting profile, share and value
- Identify advantages and compare organization’s product/services.
- Plan and organize personal sales strategy by maximizing the return of time investment for the territory/segment.
- Supply management with oral and written reports on customer needs, problems, interests, competitive activities, and potential for new products and services.
- Keep abreast of product applications, technical services, market conditions, competitive activities, advertising and promotional trends through the reading of pertinent literature and consulting with marketing and technical areas.
- Participate in trade shows and conventions.
- Contribute to team efforts by accomplishing related results as needed.
- Monthly and weekly reports on sales,
- Checking orders and booking reports to ensure all invoices has been done.
- Follow up of all enquiries and quotations.
- Familiarize yourself with the IT operating system.
Requirements
- Minimum Qualification Matric Technical and or Mechanical qualification is seen as an added advantage
- Three Year experience within a similar market
- Client driven
- Demonstrate aptitude for problem-solving
- Ability to determine solutions for customers (consultative sales approach)
- Must be results-orientated and able to work both independently and within a team environment.
- Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficiency in using Microsoft Office Suite applications and contact management software.
- Must have market knowledge of the market and customer base in the identified area.
- Valid drivers license
