About the Role

Hi Zone Security Services is seeking an experienced Human Resource Manager to oversee all aspects of Industrial Relations and contribute to the growth and success of our organization. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing labour disputes, ensuring fair and compliant resolution of IR issues, and providing strategic guidance to management on labour laws and best practices in employee relations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Chairing disciplinary hearings
  • Preparing for and attending CCMA, Bargaining Council, and NBCPSS matters
  • Managing labour disputes
  • Ensuring fair and compliant resolution of IR issues
  • Developing, reviewing, and implementing HR policies and standard operating procedures
  • Providing advice and strategic guidance to management on labour laws, disciplinary procedures, and best practices in employee relations
  • Managing the entire grievance process, including conflict resolution interventions through employee engagement initiatives
  • Leading or supporting investigations into employee misconduct and taking appropriate disciplinary action
  • Facilitating retrenchment consultations and managing short-time implementation procedures
  • Drafting and issuing formal IR documents
  • Managing and coordinating the full recruitment lifecycle
  • Addressing and responding to queries or audits from external bodies
  • Conducting employee meetings, consultations, and briefings as required
  • Handling and resolving employee queries received via telephone or email

Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years experience in a senior HR role with strong exposure to Industrial Relations
  • Degree in Human Resource Management, Labour Relations, or related field
  • Strong knowledge of South African Labour Laws
  • Experience with CCMA representations, union engagement, and regulatory inspections
  • High-level communication, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills
  • Experience in the security industry
