Job Description:

  • Design electrical systems, including 3D wiring and 2D schematics
  • Develop wiring harness designs using 3D CAD and schematic tools
  • Integrate electrical components into overall system designs
  • Evaluate project scope and manage timelines to ensure delivery
  • Prepare and maintain bills of materials and related 3D assemblies
  • Manage product data within PDM systems (e.g. Teamcenter)
  • Ensure all designs comply with supplier and regulatory requirements
  • Design with a focus on cost efficiency, ease of installation, and serviceability
  • Conduct concept and design reviews to validate solutions
  • Liaise with suppliers and stakeholders on design requirements
  • Assess design outputs against customer specifications and standards
  • Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams

Skills & Experience:

  • Experience in electrical design and wiring systems
  • Strong 3D CAD and schematic design capability (NX advantageous)
  • Knowledge of PDM systems (e.g. Teamcenter)
  • Ability to manage design tasks and meet project deadlines
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
  • Good communication and stakeholder engagement ability
  • Experience working in multidisciplinary engineering environments

Qualification:

  • Minimum BEng / BSc / in Electrical Engineering
