About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Auto Electrician to join our team on a 12-month contract basis. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in product development, automotive electrical engineering, and excellent communication skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Designing and constructing components, fixtures, rigs, and harnesses
- Preparing, conducting, and monitoring assigned tasks to organization standards
- Collecting and analyzing data by means of SW downloads from test vehicles
- Preparing reports on activities completed where required
- Determining and requesting materials and equipment for daily work activities
- Liaising with requestors and suppliers
- Evaluating, assessing, and informing of results
- Supporting and assisting in the development of procedures
- Establishing duration of tasks and planning work
- Identifying faults, diagnosing the cause, and establishing solutions
- Monitoring, maintaining, and repairing facilities, test equipment, and vehicles
- Fitment of data logging equipment and coding thereof
Requirements
- South African citizen
- Ideally residing in Gqeberha or immediate surrounds
- N6 Trade Test: Electrical/Electronics related to vehicles
- Minimum 5 years’ post-qualification experience in a product development environment, ideally automotive
- Practical and theoretical basic automotive electrical engineering knowledge
- Detailed product knowledge (vehicle electronics and electrical test equipment)
- Precision measuring of physical quantities as well as accumulated data
- Ability to communicate well at all levels
- Valid drivers’ license
