About the Role

The Bookkeeper position is based in Sunningdale, Western Cape, and partners closely with the School Principal and management team to provide financial insight, control, and support for sound decision-making and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as a key finance partner to the School Principal and leadership team.
  • Participate in management and operational meetings, providing financial input and recommendations.
  • Guide and advise management on expenditure, budgeting, and cost control.
  • Lead and manage the annual OPEX and CAPEX budgeting processes.
  • Monitor spend against budgets and provide variance analysis with actionable insights.
  • Maintain accurate budget trackers and ensure income and expenses are recorded daily.
  • Prepare and analyse monthly management accounts, presenting findings to stakeholders.
  • Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting and month-end close processes.
  • Prepare and post month-end journals and maintain general ledger integrity.
  • Perform monthly reconciliations to ensure accuracy and completeness of financial records.
  • Review and ensure accuracy of billing to parents and third parties.
  • Oversee debtors management and collections, ensuring timely recovery of outstanding fees.
  • Monitor and manage collections related to school events, camps, and tours.
  • Ensure bursaries and discounts are correctly applied in line with policies.
  • Oversee procurement processes and accounts payable function, ensuring compliance and efficiency.
  • Prepare and submit CAPEX applications accurately and within deadlines.
  • Monitor and control expenditure related to school events and initiatives.
  • Review payroll information and engage with school leadership on any discrepancies or concerns.
  • Ensure adherence to financial policies, procedures, and internal controls.

About the Role

Our client is seeking a detail-oriented and deadline-driven Bookkeeper to support the Finance Department with full bookkeeping and administrative functions across multiple group companies. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, processing transactions up to Trial Balance, and ensuring compliance with SARS requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Bookkeeping & Financial Processing: Full bookkeeping function up to Trial Balance.
  • Maintain and reconcile Debtors and Creditors accounts.
  • Prepare and reconcile Bank Statements.
  • Process petty cash transactions and reconciliations.
  • Balance the General Ledger and prepare monthly Trial Balance reports.
  • Assist with stock inventory input and related reconciliations.
  • Extract financial information and produce monthly, annual, and ad-hoc reports.

Requirements

  • Grade 12 / Matric.
  • Diploma in Accounting, Bookkeeping, or Finance (advantageous).
  • 3–5 years’ bookkeeping experience (minimum 3 years preferred).

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Bookkeeper to join our team in Cape Town City Centre. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and integrity of our financial data, managing payroll, and maintaining proper financial controls.

Key Responsibilities

  • Full creditors, debtors, bank and balance sheet reconciliations
  • Intercompany reconciliations and multi-entity transaction reviews
  • Process and check financial data in Sage, ensure accuracy of all inputs
  • Prepare VAT reconciliations and submissions
  • Prepare payments, review expenses, and manage weekly/monthly payment cycles
  • Manage payroll for up to 100 employees across multiple shifts using SimplePay
  • Generate and send daily invoices, manage weekly and monthly reconciliation processes
  • Maintain control of inventory and packaging, reconcile stock and packaging usage
  • Handle supplier/customer queries and general office finance interactions
  • Ensure sufficient daily cash availability and maintain proper financial controls
  • Prepare documentation for audit purposes and assist with AFS processes

Requirements

  • Minimum 35 years accounting/bookkeeping experience – commercial or agricultural environment advantageous
  • Advanced Excel
  • Strong Sage experience – non-negotiable
  • Strong reconciliations – bank, creditors, debtors, intercompany, stock
  • Experience processing payroll on SimplePay
  • Familiarity with VAT, EMP201, EMP501, UIF, COIDA submissions

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Bookkeeper to join our team in Cape Town City Centre. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing our accounts receivable and payable functions, ensuring accuracy and compliance with financial regulations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Verifying accuracy of financial data and processing in Sage
  • Preparing VAT returns
  • Setting up payment batches
  • Month-to-month and year-on-year financial comparisons
  • Preparation of EMP201 and EMP501 submissions
  • Payroll administration for approximately 100 employees across various shift structures
  • End-to-end inventory and packaging control
  • Issuing daily invoices
  • Weekly and monthly reconciliations of expenses and payments

Requirements

  • Minimum 3 years experience in a similar bookkeeping capacity
  • Strong Sage working experience
  • Advanced Excel ability

About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Bookkeeper to join our team in Cape Town City Centre, where you will play a critical role in maintaining the financial health of our factory floor operations. As a key member of our finance team, you will be responsible for ensuring that our financial systems are running smoothly and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

  • Keep stock control tight and reconciliations tighter
  • Manage debtors, creditors, and financial procedures
  • Perform balance sheet reconciliations that actually balance
  • Spot deviations early and recommend smart fixes
  • Support the capital expenditure process and controlled expenses
  • Keep finance and operations aligned across the value chain
  • Process value chain reconciliations and maintain accurate reporting
  • Own month-end processing and financial housekeeping
  • Provide team supervision and support where required

Requirements

  • BCom in Accounting or Finance (non-negotiable)
  • 2 to 3 years’ accounting experience
  • 1 to 2 years’ stock control experience in stock-heavy environments
  • Experience within FMCG or wholesale industries preferred
  • MS Great Plains experience highly advantageous
  • Supervisory experience beneficial

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Bookkeeper to join our team in Cape Town City Centre. As a key member of our finance department, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring timely payment processing. The ideal candidate will possess excellent analytical skills, attention to detail, and strong communication abilities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain accurate financial records and process supplier invoices and payments
  • Perform bank, debtor, and creditor reconciliations
  • Manage the full accounts payable function and prepare payment schedules
  • Assist with VAT, EMP201 submissions, and ensure statutory compliance
  • Support monthly management accounts, budgeting, and year-end audits
  • Prepare payroll information for the payroll consultant
  • Maintain fixed asset registers for group companies

Requirements

  • Diploma or Certificate in Bookkeeping, Accounting, or Finance
  • 35 years of experience in a bookkeeping role
  • Experience working with accounting software (e.g. Sage and Syspro) will be an advantage
