Job Description

My client is a multi-entity organisation based in Cape Town CBD , and they are looking for a skilled Accountant to take ownership of core financial functions and ensure accurate, insightful financial reporting. Key Responsibilities: – Financial Reporting & Analysis Prepare monthly management accounts for multiple entities. Perform variance analysis and assist with budgeting and forecasting. Ensure timely month-end and year-end close processes. – Accounts Receivable & Sales Invoicing Manage the full accounts receivable cycle, including customer reconciliations and debt follow-up. Prepare and issue accurate customer invoices in line with service delivery milestones. – Foreign Currency Transactions Process and reconcile foreign currency payments and transactions. Monitor exchange rate fluctuations and ensure proper accounting treatment. – Revenue & Billing Functions Oversee revenue recognition processes in line with company policies. Collaborate with operations and sales teams to ensure accurate and timely billing and revenue accruals. Job Description

Key Responsibilities: Analyse financial information and prepare balance sheets. Coordinate with management and staff to prepare budgets. Ensure compliance with organizational guidelines and procedures. Resolve accounts payable and receivable issues or queries. Accurately perform daily reconciliations. Comply with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) for SMEs for financial statements. Assist in financial and tax audits, and general ledger preparation. Prepare and present the monthly detailed management accounts that include cash flow, profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and related schedules with analysis. Analyse cost structures and identify efficiency opportunities. Support audit processes and liaise with external auditors. Complete end-of-month close procedures. Minimum Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related Finance Familiarity with software Sage 3- 5 years of accounting work experience

Key Responsibilities: Preparing monthly management accounts for all companies in the group. Accounting for loan account transactions. Fixed asset register maintenance. Review monthly petty cash reconciliation and cash counts. Raising TDE provisions and inventory on the system. Provisions and accruals postings. VAT submissions for all entities. Overseeing the full finance function, ensuring accuracy and compliance with IFRS and local regulations. Preparing and reviewing monthly management accounts, financial statements, and audit packs. Job Description

Key Responsibilities: Process invoices, employee expense reports, and payments accurately and on time. Verify invoice details against purchase orders, contracts, and internal approvals. Maintain vendor records in the accounting system. Prepare AP aging schedules and reconciliations for management review. Prepare and issue invoices in accordance with internal data and agreements. Record and reconcile payments received, ensuring accurate AR balances. Prepare AR aging reports and provide updates to management. Ensure proper application of credits, adjustments, and internal journal entries. Perform monthly bank reconciliations for all company accounts. Investigate and resolve discrepancies between bank statements and the general ledger. Ensure timely posting of cash receipts, disbursements, and transfers. Manage journal entries, accruals, and adjustments. Reconcile sub-ledgers (AP, AR, fixed assets) with the general ledger. Support monthly, quarterly, and annual closing processes. Assist in the preparation of financial statements and management reports. Maintain compliance with internal controls and accounting standards. Requirements: National Diploma or Bachelors Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field 24 years of experience in accounting, preferably with exposure to both accounts payable and accounts receivable. Experience in full cycle accounting, reconciliations, and month-end reporting. Previous exposure to audits and working within a compliance-driven environment is an advantage.

Job Description

Key Responsibilities: Together with the Financial Manager, planning and agreeing year plan for annual financial reporting deadlines. Providing guidance and advice on all financial accounting, independent review, and audit requirements. Investigation of queries from staff and clients as to the application of IFRS. The Financial Reporting and Audit Department provides the following services to internal and external clients: Ensuring all financial reports, both for sole proprietors, partnerships, close corporations, Trust, and companies are completed within statutory deadlines. Providing commentaries to the clients to explain the financial statements. Meeting and communication with clients, both internal and external, to manage routine financial accounting matters. Deal with any other queries and research on accounting compliance. Review and/or prepare management reports where required. Review and/or prepare cash flow forecasts where required. Time keeping and invoicing clients for work done. Writing of accountant letters for clients, where required. Follow-up with clients to ensure Annual Financial Statements are accepted and finalised before annual income tax returns can be filed. Attending Workshops / Seminars to ensure required CPD points are obtained and that the Financial Reporting team stays up to date with any legislative changes . Requirements: A degree in Accounting A related professional qualification and membership of an accounting body (such as SAIPA) is preferred, or could be working towards this. 3-5 years experience in financial accounting and audit Experience with Draftworx or similar program Attention to detail Deadline focused Excellent communication skills both verbal and written Must be able to work independently under high levels of pressure
