About the Role

The Business Development Manager role at our digital advertising group focuses on driving new business growth and increasing monthly recurring revenue through the conversion of qualified opportunities into subscriptions and longer-term client relationships. With a strong commercial instinct and experience in sales, business development, or media and advertising sales, this role is ideal for an energetic and target-driven individual who can build pipeline momentum and increase lead velocity.

Key Responsibilities

  • Utilize 37 years of experience in sales, business development, or media and advertising sales.
  • Generate and qualify new leads across SMEs, retailers, service businesses, and agencies.
  • Sell subscriptions, campaign packages, and top-up products while presenting the value of digital and retail media offerings.
  • Build and manage pipeline activity and accuracy through CRM.
  • Prepare and present proposals, pricing, and commercial recommendations to drive conversions.
  • Enforce clean commercial handovers into operations and support renewals or upsells.

Requirements

  • Strong track record of closing new business.
  • Own transport and a valid driver’s licence.
  • Strong commercial instinct and confidence in prospecting and pitching.
  • Comfortable with proposals, pricing, and objection handling.
  • Energetic, target-driven, resilient, and self-motivated.
  • Strong communicator confident in face-to-face, phone, WhatsApp, and email selling.

Qualifications

About the Role

The Business Development Manager will be responsible for driving growth and sales within the company, leading new sales initiatives, and developing a business plan that ensures attainment of company sales goals and profitability. This role requires strong leadership, strategic planning, and execution skills, as well as excellent communication and presentation abilities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Recruitment, training & development, and performance management of New Sales teams
  • Planning and coordination of all functions related to achieving growth budgets
  • General management duties
  • Actively leading new sales within each region
  • Sales and campaign planning
  • Management reporting
  • Developing a business plan and sales strategy for the market
  • Preparing action plans by individuals as well as by team for effective search of sales leads and prospects

  • Conducting one-on-one reviews with all Account Executives
  • Assisting Account Executives in preparation of proposals and presentations
  • Accurate and efficient management of sales statistics and reports

  • Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Outlook, and Microsoft PowerPoint skills

About the Role

The Business Development Manager will be responsible for driving new business development and growth within the Cape Town City Centre division, focusing on B2B sales within food manufacturing environments. The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of industrial cleaning chemicals, applications, and safety protocols, as well as experience in key account management and business development.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage overall sales and commercial performance of the division
  • Monitor budgets and provide insights on profitability and growth
  • Oversee SLA agreements to ensure and improve profitability
  • Review project costings, investigate variances, and implement corrective actions
  • Control branch-level expenses and operational costs
  • Prepare regional sales and expense budgets

  • Minimum 7 years industry experience , including 5 years in senior sales or regional management
  • Proven experience in B2B sales within food manufacturing or chemical hygiene solutions
  • Strong Key Account Management and business development track record
  • In-depth knowledge of cleaning chemicals, applications, and safety protocols
  • Understanding of HACCP and food safety regulations

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Business Development Manager to join our team in Cape Town City Centre. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for driving new business growth through prospecting, solution scoping, and proposal response. Key Responsibilities

  • Own end-to-end new business development: prospecting, discovery, solution scoping, proposal/tender response, negotiation, and close.
  • Execute high-volume outbound activity: cold calling, email outreach, LinkedIn/social selling, and on-site canvassing.
  • Leverage and grow an existing network in enterprise and midmarket/SME.
  • Identify and pursue opportunities across:
  • Campus and branch networking (switching, WiFi)
  • Security-driven upgrades and infrastructure standardisation
  • Server and storage refresh projects
  • Lifecycle replacement and expansion programs
  • Work closely with internal teams and channel partners to:
  • Register deals early
  • Secure best pricing and availability
  • Attach professional/managed services (installation, provisioning, asset tagging, maintenance, SLA)
  • Maintain accurate pipeline and forecast discipline (CRM)
  • Represent the company professionally in customer meetings, vendor/distributor engagements, and events.

Requirements

  • 5 years proven sales experience in networking, servers, and storage solution/consultative selling
  • Demonstrated success in a hunter/new business role (not account management only)
  • Strong existing customer network in enterprise and/or mid-market/SME
  • Comfortable with cold calling, canvassing, and high-volume prospecting
  • Strong discovery and qualification skills (business technical requirements)
  • Experience selling through channel/distributor ecosystems and working with vendor programs
  • Ability to respond to tenders and manage complex deal cycles
  • Solid understanding of margin/GP and how to protect profitability
  • Self-starter with strong daily activity discipline
  • Comfortable working independently in the field and collaborating with internal teams

About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated Business Development Manager to join our team in Cape Town City Centre. The successful candidate will be responsible for building and maintaining relationships with real estate business partners, tracking sales performance metrics, and providing actionable insights to improve results.

Key Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain relationships with New and Existing Real Estate Business Partners to foster insurance sales growth.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for business partners and Agents signed up as lead providers, ensuring their needs are addressed promptly and effectively.
  • Track and report on sales performance metrics through structured daily, weekly, and monthly reports.
  • Provide stakeholders with timely updates on the status of referrals, leads, and overall sales pipeline.
  • Monitor and report on the progress of the sales team and offer insights for improving performance.
  • Conduct market research and analyse data to identify regional trends and business opportunities.
  • Provide training and guidance to sales team members on best practices for developing and maintaining client relationships.
  • Offer ongoing support to lead providers and partners to enhance their ability to generate leads and close sales.
  • Manage escalations from real estate agents, bond consultants and sales team members, addressing recurring challenges and lead or sales queries.

Requirements

  • Minimum Required Qualifications: Matric Certification.
  • RE5 and FAIS qualification (e.g. NQF5 Wealth Management) Tertiary qualification advantageous.
  • Minimum Required Experience: 2 Years experience in sales or a business development role within the insurance industry.
  • Experience in the Real Estate Industry.
  • Own transport.
  • Valid drivers license.
