About the Role
A leading organisation in the Food & Beverage Manufacturing industry is seeking to appoint a Financial Accountant. This role offers the opportunity to be part of a fast-paced production environment where accuracy, compliance, and financial insight are key to supporting business growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and maintain accurate financial records in line with IFRS for SMEs/GAAP.
- Produce monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements/management accounts.
- Manage general ledger accounting, journal entries, and reconciliations.
- Monitor accounts payable, receivable, and fixed assets.
- Ensure compliance with tax, VAT, and other statutory requirements.
- Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
- Support internal and external audits by providing required documentation.
- Identify process improvements and ensure financial controls are followed.
- Collaborate with other departments to provide financial insights for decision-making.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- SAIPA/SAICA articles completed or in progress preferred.
- 3 – 5 years of relevant accounting experience.
- Strong knowledge of IFRS for SMEs, tax, and compliance regulations.
- Proficiency in accounting software (SAP, Pastel, Oracle, QuickBooks).
- Intermediate Microsoft Excel skills.
- High attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organisational skills.

- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
