About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Business Analyst to join our team in Johannesburg, South Africa. As a key member of our IT department, you will be responsible for ensuring that business requirements are accurately translated into functional and non-functional specifications, and that system solutions meet the needs of our stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

  • Engage with stakeholders to gather, validate, and document business requirements
  • Conduct workshops, interviews, and process analysis to understand business needs
  • Translate requirements into clear functional and non-functional specifications
  • Develop Business Requirement Documents (BRDs), functional specifications, and process flows
  • Collaborate with IT and development teams to design effective system solutions
  • Ensure traceability between requirements, solutions, and testing outcomes
  • Support project planning, scope definition, and delivery milestones
  • Participate in system testing, UAT coordination, and end-user training
  • Assist with change management and post-implementation reviews
  • Identify opportunities for process optimisation, automation, and digital transformation
  • Evaluate technologies and recommend improvements aligned with business goals
  • Act as a liaison between business users and technical teams
  • Facilitate communication and ensure alignment on deliverables
  • Provide regular updates and manage stakeholder expectations

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Business, or related field
  • 35 years of experience as a Business Analyst within IT or digital projects
  • Strong understanding of SDLC and project methodologies
  • Experience with tools such as Microsoft DevOps, FreshService, SmartSheets
  • Working knowledge of SAP ERP, Java, Python, or other enterprise platforms
