About the Role
A well-established organisation within the manufacturing and retail industry is seeking to appoint a Senior Accountant to join their finance team based in Alberton, Johannesburg . This opportunity offers the chance to play a key role in financial reporting, tax compliance, and supporting the broader finance function within a structured and fast-paced business environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, ensuring tax compliance, and assisting with reporting processes while also supporting and guiding junior team members.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage financial reporting and assist with monthly management accounts
- Ensure tax compliance, including VAT and statutory submissions
- Assist with financial reconciliations and balance sheet integrity
- Support budgeting and financial analysis processes
- Maintain accurate financial records and reporting standards
- Assist in strengthening financial processes and controls
- Provide support and guidance to junior finance staff
- Liaise with internal stakeholders to support finance operations
Requirements
- BCom degree (minimum requirement)
- Completed SAICA or SAIPA articles
- 13 years post-articles experience
- Strong experience in tax and financial reporting
- Exposure to the manufacturing or retail industry advantageous
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to manage tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Exposure to team leadership or people management advantageous

- BCom degree
- Completed SAICA or SAIPA articles
