About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Financial Accountant to join our team in Cape Town City Centre. The ideal candidate will have completed their B.Com Accounting degree and has 5-8 years of relevant accounting experience, with proficiency in accounting software such as Pastel and advanced MS Excel skills.

Key Responsibilities

  • Process General Ledger entries and reconcile cashbooks
  • Perform monthly Balance Sheet reconciliations
  • Maintain the Fixed Assets Register
  • Prepare, reconcile, and submit VAT returns and payments
  • Conduct weekly cash flow forecasting
  • Analyse expenses and financial data
  • Prepare and analyse management reports
  • Assist the Finance Director (FD) and Finance Manager (FM) as needed

Requirements

  • Completed B.Com Accounting degree
  • 5-8 years of relevant accounting experience
  • Proficiency in accounting software such as Pastel and advanced MS Excel skills
  • Prior experience with commission calculations
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
