About the Role

As a Financial Accountant in our Cape Town City Centre office, you will be instrumental in driving the financial health of our organization. You will work closely with stakeholders across various departments to ensure seamless financial management and compliance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Preparing and reviewing monthly management accounts and financial statements
  • Ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements
  • Managing budgets, forecasts, and variance analysis
  • Supporting audits and liaising with external auditors
  • Overseeing reconciliations, journals, and general ledger accuracy

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and dependable Financial Accountant to support operations within the digital assets sector. This position requires an individual who can immediately assume responsibility for day-to-day financial activities and operate confidently with minimal supervision.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily financial operations and maintain accurate, up-to-date accounting records.
  • Prepare and post journals, with strong working knowledge of QuickBooks being essential.
  • Compile monthly management accounts, including detailed profit and loss and balance sheet analysis.
  • Support budgeting cycles, financial reporting, and variance analysis.
  • Liaise with the Cayman-based team regarding financial reporting, commentary, and deliverables.
  • Manage payment processes, perform account reconciliations, and monitor cash flow on an ongoing basis.
  • Ensure compliance with internal control frameworks, KYC requirements, and relevant regulatory standards.
  • Engage directly with clients and external service providers to address financial queries and meet reporting requirements.

Requirements

  • Solid understanding of accounting principles (formal qualification advantageous).
  • 23 years post-qualification experience in an accounting or finance role.
  • Demonstrated experience in preparing management accounts and managing end-to-end finance functions.
  • Proficiency in QuickBooks and exposure to other accounting systems.
  • Ability to work independently with limited direction – a proactive and self-driven approach.
  • Strong professional judgement, integrity, and a high level of ownership and accountability.
  • Confident communicator with the ability to interact effectively with senior and international stakeholders.

About the Role

We are seeking a highly organised Financial Accountant to join our dynamic team in Cape Town City Centre. As a numerically strong and technically sound financial professional, you will be responsible for managing and maintaining accurate company records up to trial balance and assisting with monthly Management Reports. You will also provide support to the Finance Manager and the team with regards to audits and other accounting functions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Reconciling submitted EMP 201’s, 501’s to payroll 12m report
  • Correct processing of staff related expenses – loans, repayments, deductions
  • Accurate and complete processing of all applicable recharges
  • Processing of monthly fixed re-occurring invoicing and journals (ie Management fee charges, bonus provision)
  • Managing intercompany debtors and creditors – offset and balancing intercompany loans monthly
  • Loading and verifying of bi-weekly payment run whilst following the Company process for payment authorization
  • Ensuring salary payments are successfully made – Standard Bank Business Online Credit card payment process from start to completion
  • Treasury function – managing cashflow need between accounts and Call account to maximise interest receivable
  • Accurate timeous completion, sign off and distribution of commissions for payroll
  • Submitting EMP 201’s to SARS
  • Calculating VAT and submitting VAT 201s
  • Supporting in the EMP 501 submissions with the HR department
  • Dividend tax submissions to submit and pay timeously

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
  • SAIPA or CIMA completed articles is advantageous
  • Matric/Grade 12 with Maths and Accounting
  • Minimum 2-3 years post articles experience gained within a relevant financial accounting role or similar position ideally gained within the media, digital, fintech, consulting
  • Experience working with intercompany transactions
  • Strong knowledge of IFRS and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles
  • Income tax and VAT Laws knowledge advantageous

About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Financial Accountant to join our team in Cape Town City Centre. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the financial aspects of our business, including monthly end procedures, budget analysis, and financial reporting.

Key Responsibilities

  • Monthly end procedures including transaction processing up to trial balance
  • Submission of monthly financials on MPC
  • Analyzing and reviewing budgets and expenditures
  • Supervision of intercompany accounts reconciliation process
  • Preparation of monthly management accounts, and other monthly reports
  • Involvement in the preparation of audit packs and tax packs as well as company statutory returns
  • Liaising with business unit managers regarding various accounting issues
  • Maintaining the fixed asset register and capital processes
  • Recommending, developing, and maintaining financial databases, computer software systems and manual filing systems.
  • Supervising the input and handling of financial data and reports for the company’s automated financial systems
  • Interacting with internal and external auditors as well as implementing and maintaining sufficient internal control environments

Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years experience as financial accountant
  • Minimum 3 years motor industry experience (advantageous)
  • Knowledgeable of tax calculations
  • Strong on financial reporting and corporate governance
  • Well-developed communication skills
  • Strong ability to reason with numerical information to influence and enable business and financial decisions
  • Microsoft Office skills (Excel, Word, and Outlook)

Qualifications

BCom Accounting with commercial experience SAIPA commercial experience (preferred)
