About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Accountant to join our team in Cape Town City Centre. As a key member of our finance branch, you will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and compliance of financial reporting, while also providing support to various departments across the organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Finance Branch monthly financial reporting
- Preparation of creditors reconciliations and payments
- Preparation of balance sheet reconciliations
- Weekly cashflow reports and forecast
- Data Capturing Supplier invoices, Bank statements, etc
- Daily bank statements reconciliations
- Maintain accounts for suppliers and banks
- Cost Control Assist in implementing a system of controls to monitor costs effectively
- Operations Ensure labour and consumables requests to Procurement are being allocated to specific jobs besides the normal fixed monthly costs
- Estimation Review of quote file generated with emphasis being on the accuracy of the base costs and the supporting documents on file on confirmed jobs
- Project accounting All confirmed projects, shows and stand likewise to be tracked and monitored from the quoting phase through to closure to ensure no budget overruns occur
- Weekly GP reporting on all jobs
- Sales Weekly sales report
- Administration Support to the branch
- Internal and external relations

- Advanced user of accounting software and Excel
- Ability to work under pressure
- Rigorous and responsive
- Higher-level qualification in accounting
