Location: Leafy Southern Suburbs, Western Cape Job Type: Full-time Industry: IT & Technology This is an exciting opportunity for a finance professional who thrives in a fast‑paced, evolving environment and enjoys being part of an agile, tech‑focused business. 🌟 Purpose of the Role: To analyse financial information and prepare accurate financial reports while maintaining complete records of assets, liabilities, profit and loss, tax obligations, and other financial activities across the group. 📌 Key Responsibilities: Financial Accounting & Reporting: Document financial transactions by entering and verifying account information. Prepare monthly financial reports. Perform monthly cash flow forecasting and control. Prepare annual financial statements. Assist with the preparation of the annual budget. Reconciliations & Controls: Capture and reconcile debtors and creditors accounts. Perform bank reconciliations. Reconcile general ledger accounts. Reconcile inter‑company loan accounts. Maintain and enforce internal controls. Control and maintain the asset register. Regulatory & Compliance: Complete and submit all regulatory returns. Manage all SARS‑related matters. Ensure compliance with standards, procedures, and relevant legislation in both South Africa and Namibia. Operational Finance: Manage monthly payroll processes. Capture and process supplier payments. Address ad hoc accounting queries and operational requests as needed. 🧩 Skills & Attributes: We are looking for someone who is: Highly organized, efficient, and detail‑oriented. Proactive, adaptable, and comfortable in a relatively unstructured environment. A strong communicator with excellent verbal and written skills. Confident, assertive, and able to manage high workloads under pressure. Results‑driven with strong problem‑solving ability. A committed team player with excellent interpersonal skills. Able to handle confidential information with sound judgment and discretion. Process‑driven and documentation‑focused. Capable of prioritizing tasks and following through to completion. 🎓 Requirements: Education: BCom in Accounting or equivalent qualification (required). Financial Accounting Honours degree (advantageous). Knowledge of accounting and auditing standards and relevant financial legislation. Strong understanding of VAT and tax legislation. Technical Skills: Proficiency in Xero Accounting (required). Knowledge of SimplePay (advantageous). Advanced computer literacy, especially in Excel . Experience: Minimum of 5 years accounting experience applying the above responsibilities (required). Experience within operational processes is beneficial. Other: Strong organizational skills.
